Why college graduation rate is so low?

To graduate in four years, students must take and pass at least 15 credits a semester. What is pretty a lot for students and some people cannot afford it. Some people fail their classes, so they have to take them again. That's why four-year graduation rate is 33.3%. Some people think that four years is not a lot ,so they decide to take a break. Otherwise students who's taking six-year college know that they a lot ofyears left, so they are trying to finish it as soon as possible.

Let’s talk about the factors in low graduation rates. First factor is going to be Income-related issues. One of the largest factors is being a family and personal income. If a student cannot continue
paying for college, they may have to drop out completely or put their education on hold, quite possible for years. That way they can go to work to supplement the family income or even because the student provides the sole financial support for the family. Other students may drop out to assume childcare responsibility for younger siblings or aging parents or grandparents. All these examples making students graduate later.

Another factor is academic preparation. For many students, the jump from high school classes to college is a bit larger than they originally thought. Students may struggle academically and do not advance once in high school because of failed classes. The failure may be a result of an undiagnosed or diagnosed learning disability, apathy or lack of strong academic potential. After repeated failure, these students give up and drop out -- especially if their peers have moved on to the next grade or to graduation.

"But preparation is not the only concern of low-income students. College dropout rate by race and social class is also directly related to the cost of college tuition in America. Tuition costs have doubled in the last 30 years - more than 213% between 1988 and 2020."

Some high school students and college students drop out because they want to work to earn money. They may need money to finance a car, pay for auto insurance, buy clothes or electronics, pay for housing or support unhealthy addictions. Most high school and college students don't have the time and energy to go to school all day, complete homework assignments and still work enough hours to support lofty expenses. Dropouts who are concerned about their immediate, short-term financial situation may see a full-time job as the best way to maintain the lifestyle they desire.

Social Media

Social media has become the main source of news online with more  with more than 2.4 billion internet users , nearly 64.5 percent receive breaking news from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram instead of traditional media. But, can we trust everything what says in social media? "There are  many "fake news" websites that compete for attention with sensational headlines and ridiculous storylines that tend to get shared more often due to the lack of readers fact checking or reading more than the headline. That means that authentic content is hard to come by now. In fact, fake news is actually more likely to spread than the truth," said Martin, Nicole.  I agree with it. It seems like we can't trust social media. Most of the time they make up the news. That way more people want to read the news and the website gets more views.     News happens fast now. Today’s story will be tomorrow’s forgotten story. It is easy to miss things now because of how

The entire human body replaces itself about every 7 years

Today's alternate fact is "The entire human body replaces itself about every 7 years." Did anyone know about it? I did not! I think it is pretty interesting fact to read about. But does everyone like to read? I don't think so! Some people might have troubles with reading and understanding what is it about or it takes so much time. For this we have visual facts, videos that we can watch. So, today I am going to compare 2 sources that I chose. One is going to be only primarily text and the other one is primarily visual and you all can decide what is better for you.     A written article is more about understanding and paying attention to each word. In primarily text author includes strong details and strong words since we can't see any pictures. We also can see written examples. We have to have imagination. That way we can imagine pictures in our heads. In the article I chose we can paragraphs and each paragraph has a title and a different meaning. What I think
